I'm just saying that from my vantage point, Marshall has 2 strikes and sooner or later these "isolated incidents" will become a pattern if he doesn't watch it.

Methinks your '2 clear examples' are one valid observation and one where you do not have the contexting necessary to clearly prove your assumption that he's violated the code of conduct twice. Otherwise the suspension would not have been so light.

If apologies were necessary I'm pretty sure the offended parties got 'em. That it wasn't public is probably what chagrined some of the -ahem- local scribes.
Besides, it's not like he pulled his pud out on an elevator or anything... Sheesh...

I'm not really worried at the moment about some official, technical count of school code of conduct violations. I'm just saying there are fans like me who have witnessed 2 noticeable events. If it reaches 3 or 4, I'm going to start having a problem, whether the school does or not. Not all fans feel the same as I do, but I don't think I'm totally alone in my opinion either. That's not a road Marshall, WSU, or anyone else should want to go down. These 2 events are not examples of acceptable behavior. The more they happen, the fewer people are going to be willing to just dismiss them and move on easily.

Cause of both events -- player protection. Marshall (nor any coach worth his salt) is not going to stay quiet when his players are at jeopardy. I'm not saying forgive and forget, but quit beating a dead horse. Marshall himself said "there's a right way of doing things" and he admits and apologizes for not doing things the right way. What more do you want -- a blood oath. He knows he reacted badly. Let it die and move on, PLEASE.

There is a plethora of D1 coaches with highly intense natures strolling the sidelines all time. Their probably worse at practice! Who cares if Coach K has a sailors mouth? You think they want Huggins out of Morgantown? Isn't Izzo really the biggest jerk in the Midwest?
What will sully his -ahem- legacy, in my opinion, is if he demeans the players/students that are on his basketball teams. From all I've heard (from him) and read there's no signs of that type of a temperament. Remember R. Smithson? That's about the only hypothetical supposition worth positing, as far as legacy, vs. giving the refs the business. C'mon man!

This was an isolated incident. And "this one isolated incident", poor as it was, does not outweigh all the good.
Now if YOU want to weigh all incidents, isolated or otherwise, then be my guest. I choose, at this time, not to. That's why I specified this "one isolated event".
I compared the value of this one event vs the value of all the good. That's what I did. Don't try and correct what I want to do.
You want to take the time to put together one of your dumbass graphs, be my guest. Thankfully, I won't see it.
Jackass.
