My takeaway from the Gregg Marshall ejection and rant was that after that occurred, we went from experimenting with different player combinations on the court to using our (current) best team to finish out the game. Good intensity by those guys to wrap the game up with a solid Q4.

Conner got roasted for his DUI on this board, but did that incident make him a bad person? In some people's minds it did, and I feel sorry for them. He was a kid who made a stupid mistake, and he's stayed out of trouble since. I don't know him personally, and those are the facts as I know them. I won't let perception affect my opinion.
One of the reasons I love HCGM is he doesn't give two craps what people think about him. That is an honorable trait in a society that is dangerously obsessed with facades. We're all so damn worried about what other people think about us that most of us don't even know ourselves.
If Dan Muller did this I would make fun of him, you bet, because making fun of him is good times for a fan of a rival team. But you know what, he shouldn't care about my opinion of him, and I hope he doesn't.

That was incredible! He was giving those Canucks the business! I love it!
But it's kind of a bad look for WSU, the state of Kansas, and the United States of America. I could see a fine and possibly a suspension but not more than a couple of games. It's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but some action needs to be taken for international diplomacy.
I remember Georgetown going to China 4 or 5 years ago and there was a huge brawl and players were throwing chairs. I think the Big East had some harsh words for them but it wasn't like John Thompson III got fired or something. Also I recall Mizzou going to Australia in the early 90s. Norm Stewart got ejected in a game but told the ref that he was a guest and he wasn't going to leave. They were totally flabbergasted and did nothing, Norm finished coaching the game.

I loved this line from the Eagle...
"...Lynn Marshall, his wife, theorized that perhaps he watched too much rugby."

I've never been to Canada, but my girlfriend has been there multiple times, and to Quebec twice. She is the type who almost always looks at the positive and good in people. She said she has no desire to ever return to Quebec, as they are the rudest people she has ever encountered. And she's been to England, Russia, Turkey and Mexico.
It sounds like our Shocks got the usual French-Canadian treatment.

If this was a reference to me, if you give me $3 million to represent the internet for a year, I'll gladly dial it back a notch to make the place look a bit more professional.
