  • Hopefully Fred will see more minutes after they watch the tape of him defending Dunn. If his defense can get him a few extra minutes on the floor, his offense is good enough to keep him there.

    • The only thing that really bothered me was the fact that the announcers basically ignored how good of defense that Fred was playing. They went from praising Wright while he was in and not doing much, to talking about sandwiches and rice Krispy treats while Fred was shutting down Dunn, then back to Wright after Fred went out.

      • Here are Baker's final stats and the ranking in each category of the 145 players participating; he did average 3 turnovers per game, too, but those were not included for all 145 players.

        • I am getting ready to ask some real dumb questions because I have hardly ever followed the NBA, either regular season or summer play.

The Knicks will not be playing in LV, but most other teams are playing in LV summer league play. Right?

Do the Knicks play again, before the NBA regular season begins?

Is the summer league play the same as D-League play? Does the "D" mean development?

My friends say that I am an over educated idiot.

Here is my last question. Will Ron be in the starting lineup for the Knicks, when the 16-17 NBA season play begins?

I will close out and read.

Correct. Most teams are in the LV league, but there is also the Orlando (where the Knicks were) and Salt Lake leagues

              I don't think so

No, Summer league is during the summer and includes a variety of players, on roster and not on roster. D-League goes during the regular season and is kind of like a farm system. Players can be sent down to the D-League but be a part of the primary roster (NBA Pay), or could be only a part of the D-League roster (D-League Pay).

Starting .. Probably not .. On the roster ... I'd bet on it.

Interview with Raptors coach after game. Lot of crap I didn't really see about Delon, but some pretty good stuff about FVV too.

                • The following table ranks the top 25 (on the average of ranking basis) of the 141 players that played in the Orlando league (4 did not play of the 145 on the rosters) in Points, Rebounds, Assists, Steals and Blocks on a "per 40 minute basis) and then averages those rankings.

The teams do play a preseason schedule of about 6-7 games. It doesn't look like the Knicks have announced their preseason schedule yet.

As for Ron starting, right now his competition at SG is Courtney Lee a decent veteran journeyman and Justin Holiday, a player going into his fourth year (career 4.4 ppg, 1.5 rpg, apg). I say it is unlikely, at least to start the season.

So there are 4 separate and distinct schedules of NBA games?
                        Regular season games
                        Preseason games
                        Summer League games
                        Development League games.

                        Is the above correct?

The D-League is sort of separate from the NBA. Not all NBA teams are a "parent" of a D-League team. D-League players aren't guaranteed the minimum salary in the NBA. etc.
