I guess I just don't like WSU and ISUr being lumped together. WSU is a team that can play with anyone in the country. ISUr is a team similar to those pesky 12 and 13 seeds that are popular upset picks who might get to the Sweet 16.
ISUr peaked at 34 in KenPom January 21st after a home victory against Drake and have managed to drop over 20 spots since then. They might have been a real contender at some point this season, but they are not good right now. Their KenPom numbers are actually pretty similar to Dayton from last year.

It's fine to not like ISU and to hope they lose so they don't share the championship, but a record and defensive numbers like ISU has does not happen by accident.

The ask needs to be for better performance from the Selection Committee, not undefeated seasons from non-P5 teams.
I've heard people say Palm has been very accurate about WSU's seed lately. Well he's underselling WSU just like the committee has done. The committee is the one getting it wrong. Their seeding, especially the last few years overall, has been putrid.
St Mary's should have replaced Syracuse last year.Last edited by ShockerFever; February 24, 2017, 11:40 AM.Deuces Valley.

St Mary's should have replaced Syracuse last year."When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." Better have some sugar and water too, or else your lemonade will suck!

So yes, they are similar. But they are similar in the way Seth Curry is similar to Steph Curry.

Unless I was misunderstanding this person, he was inferring the Shockers achievement occurred at a "different level" and therefore had no value. It was extra special to witness 'Zona get throttled!

Jon Rothstein @JonRothstein
No mid-major conference tournament feels more anticipated than the MVC. Wichita State and Illinois State are on a straight collision course.
@RoyalShock:
@JonRothstein One of those teams is cruising along like an 18-wheeler. The other more like a Prius. Collision indeed.
