"...The Shockers’ overall SOS is relatively poor also. It would have to be a really weak field for Wichita to get in with this profile, but that worked for them last season."

            +1

I haven't understood Jerry Palm's love affair with Rhode Island for a while. They are 17-12, 1-3 vs the Top 50, 2-4 vs Top 100, 6-5 on the road, with 2 sub 100 losses at HOME. I have 0 doubt, if they manage to get in, Jerry Palm gets info from someone.

Wichita State and Illinois State look like dangerous NCAA teams, but so did Saint Mary's last season. Can't leave things up to chance.

                        Orrrrrrr

Put Saint Mary's in the tournament last year.

The ask needs to be for better performance from the Selection Committee, not undefeated seasons from non-P5 teams.

The two numbers on the right are Sagarin Rating (on the left) and WSU's predicted margin of victory or loss versus that team (on the right).

Basically, WSU is either favored, or within two points of all but eight teams from that entire projected field, but yet some think we're not worthy.

Yes, it is the difference between WSU 89.88 rating and the number rating for the opponent. There is no adjustment for home court since it assumes tournament games are neutral court games.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Now I know Rothstein hasn't watched any of ISUr's games.

I think many are making the mistake of underestimating ISU's Top 15 defense.

It's fine to not like ISU and to hope they lose so they don't share the championship, but a record and defensive numbers like ISU has does not happen by accident.
