While the press is nice, I fear we are setting ourselves up for a big hit if we come out flat on Friday.

I have no reason to believe that we will, but can't stop thinking about how we will be skewered if we lose on Friday as much as we are getting positive press now. It will be hung over our head for a while.

The only reason a bubble might burst is because hype is by definition hype. The reason behind the hype is legit and is not going away no matter the results this Friday. This team is talented, athletic, smart and improving. They are good enough to win a few this year, but nothing is given in a win-or-go-home scenario against talented, experienced and well-coached squads. Hopefully our noncon opponents next year don't **** the bed.

I also keep noticing that literally everyone making pics is picking WSU over Dayton. And nobody seems extremely confident about Kentucky over Wichita State. They keep saying Wichita State is really really really good and doesn't deserve a 10 seed and on and on and Kentucky is screwed for having to face them so early, but then after a brief pause they say that Kentuckys athleticism will probably win this game. I'll give them that but nobody's going to be surprised if Wichita State is in the Sweet 16. I definitely feel like this is going to be a special run.

To your point, I saw something along this line today on the UK SB Nation page. There's about five paragraphs on the projected game against us and I quote one here:

"I truly cannot predict this game. The match-up and the Shockers’ style of play are very bad for this Kentucky team, but they also haven’t proven that they can beat a legit NCAA tournament team. I could see UK winning this one, and I could just as easily see them getting shot out of the building. Ask me Saturday and I might have more of an idea on how this goes, but for now, I’m copping out and saying I truly don’t know."
