I'll give you it's a close call, but having seen both Earnie and fvv play there entire eligibility, i'll side with Earnie.

I never saw Earnie play, but if Fred would have had a front court player as good as Stallworth, I don't think we would be questioning Fred's Senior year stats.

Dave was both front and perimeter court player which made him unique. He was the first of the stretch fours. He could lead the break with handles, shoot the 3 before there was a 3 point shot, score inside, and rebound. Fred has had some good players to play with, but you are right, Stallworth was a special player that would have helped anyone. For comparisons, with a 3 point, how many points would he have averaged.

A very fair point, as is the point that the MVC in which EM played was several light years ahead of the quality of the MVC in which FVV played.

I'd pick Perez over Baker (1A and 1B)

              • "The 25 most intriguing non-league games of the 2016-17 season" - Yahoo Sports

                1. Duke vs. Kansas, Nov. 15 (New York): The first real test for likely preseason No. 1 Duke could be the premier non-conference game of the 2016-17 season. 2. Kentucky at Louisville, Dec. 21: College basketball’s most hostile rivalry pits a Kentucky team loaded with its usual array of elite freshmen against a Louisville team with a pair of sophomores who could be poised for breakout seasons. 3. Kansas at Kentucky, Jan. 28: With the Big 12 likely a bit down and the SEC lacking much pizzazz besides Kentucky, the annual challenge between the two leagues doesn’t have too many must-see matchups.

Made the list of top games, but thinking we could get another top game if we get by LSU in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament.

"...20. Wichita State vs. Oklahoma, Dec. 10 (Oklahoma City): Will Oklahoma remain a Big 12 contender now that national player of the year Buddy Hield is in the NBA? Can Wichita State avoid a steep decline now that longtime stalwarts Ron Baker and Fred VanVleet have graduated? This intriguing matchup should offer some early answers as to where these two stand...."
