I believe there was a list of 7-8 alternates, but I never saw how they determined which one to bring in should someone not be able to make it.

Often if someone isn't invited to the combine, a particular team can invite an individual to a tryout camp. Believe me, teams have scouting reports on the Shocker players. At the combine, if a team has a need and doesn't think it will be filled within the draft (wrong pick position, no reasonable trade options, etc.) they can look at their list and invite someone for an individual tryout/evaluation to see if the individual can fill that need.

it changes often. Including after the draft after the picks were made so he looks better.

Yahoo says former Miami player Sheldon McClellan will replace Selden in drills.

I read somewhere that the combine will be broadcast live on ESPN2 (I think it was 2, but may have been U) from 3-7. I will be working or driving most of that time, so if anybody gets a chance to watch and give updates, it would be very much appreciated.

There's a chance you may be able to watch a replay if you have the Watch ESPN app. Of course, it does take a while to get those replays up on the site sometime. And it also may be old news by the time you get to see it.
