It's all in how you sell it. It might even be true. Here is how you sell it to your Jayhawk friends. "The Valley is 34-11 against the Big 12 since 2010. If Creighton was still in the league it would be worse. Northern Iowa beat Iowa State this year, in fact, Drake and Northern Iowa beat Iowa and Iowa State so regularly, that they quit doing home and homes and will only play the games in Des Moines. Even lowly Missouri State beat Oklahoma State this year. And your Jayhawks have lost in the dance to Bradley, Northern Iowa and last year to us! No wonder you guys talk trash about the Valley, talking trash is easier than playing the damned games!"

Jeff Skilling went to an Ivy League school (Harvard). He was the one who talked Enron into getting rid of their hard assets and into derivatives (and derivative trading). In my mind, Ken Lay liked him b/c he was good at kissing backsides. How good was his analysis? How accurate was it? Skilling went to federal prison. They guy he replaced took his Enron severance (the pipelines) and became a billionaire.

So I would say that it more depends on who is doing the analysis rather than the pedigree you have.

On one occasion Shock provided me with some background information that answered a question I had. I know that Shock does thorough analysis and can substantiate his claims. I will trust his analysis.
