"NO! YOU SHUT UP!!!" should be the thread name.

      • That works for me. Any consensus 1st or 2nd team All-Americans as defined by the NCAA should be the litmus test. Making that honor extremely exalted and relatively rare.

If you want require at least 2 years in the program.

We have only 3 "Consensus All-Americans" which is made up of a point ranking of honorary lists selected by the NCAA. Those selected lists change over time.

Below are WSU players that made any of those honorary lists.

Stallworth - 1964 Consensus 1st Team, 1st Team AP, USBWA, NABC, UPI. 1965 Consensus 2nd Team, 1st Team USBWA, 2nd AP, NABC, UPI

McDaniel - 1985 Consensus 1st Team, 1st Team AP, USBWA, 2nd Team UPI, 3rd Team NABC

Early - 2014 Consensus 2nd Team, 2nd Team USBWA, NABC, 3rd Team AP

VanVleet - 2014 3rd Team NABC, TSN. 2015 AP HM

          Carr - 1983 3rd Team AP. 1982 AP HM

Littleton - 1954 AP HM. 1955 AP HM

          Levingston - 1982 AP HM

          Miller - 2006 AP HM

          Baker - 2015 AP HM

I am aware of that. Obviously, you are going to grandfather those already in. My point is that IF this is intended to honor and recognize All-Americans then let's define that and clarify that. If that is not the case then perhaps they should define and clarify what those banners represent and what factors will be used to determine who makes the cut. Maybe that exists somewhere but it seems pretty nebulous to me.

            • Maybe we should just vote before a home game in a couple of years. 75%+ and you're in.

Maybe we should just leave it up to Mark Adams. Would definitely have to switch to retiring jerseys and not numbers though and we might have to get rid of all those pesky Volleyball banners.

                    • So basically @Cdizzle is promoting a system that would allow even Bush Wamukota to end up in the rafters.

                      • I truly believe that RB and FVV will eventually land in the ncaa Hall of Fame.

                        • So Fred Is roughly exactly the same in this statistical category as another very good player who isn't in the rafters but is in the Shocker Hall of fame which has been my point all along.

                          • When having a discussion or argument with someone who holds a different opinion than you it is always best to refrain from personal attacks they only make you look sophomoric and uneducated.

Fred is "roughly exactly" ahead of 3 of the 5 who are in the rafters. What's that point again?
