You yourself said the numbers don't add up. I'm saying I've watched the games, and they suck at defense.

So why do sucky defensive teams from the Big 12 get ranked higher than better defenses in the ACC? If that is your theory, it still doesn't answer how or why that happens.

That's my big question here. If the Big 12 plays worse defense than the ACC, why don't the computer numbers show this? Why can't we find something they are doing differently to potentially take advantage of a flaw in the system? You would think we would be able to identify SOMETHING.

All the "well they just sit at home and enjoy non con home court advantage" stuff that comes up in Big 12 vs MVC discussions goes out the window when discussing Big 12 vs ACC.

You think Big 12 teams have to travel significantly farther for their tournament games than ACC teams? Not only that, you think this yet to be proven extra travel distance is potentially so significant that it has affected multiple outcomes the past few years?

Anyhow, I just realized that when The 'Ville won it all in '13 they weren't even the regular season ACC champs.

You are correct. I'm obviously not looking up stats while engaging in this conversation.

So, off the top of my head I believe The 'Cuse was too. That championsip game when the Cards came from 20+ down to beat 'em in the second half to win was awesome.

Now that they're both in the ACC my unbiased claims of superior parity are even further reinforced.
