No. It proves Villanova is a high major program and can win championships, as they were in the real Big East. I mean it's just as goofy as saying when Butler reached back-to-back title games that the Horizon League is a conference capable of making championship games and it vindicates the conference.

But Villanova won unlike Butler, it is a team from their conference, so I can sort of see it, just like when a valley team does well it represents.

I get the conference love deal. I'd be rooting for a Valley foe too. But I wouldn't be demanding National Championship t-shirts and flaunting my Valley t-shirt at the office tomorrow. Just so freaking small time. Could you imagine a Duke fan wearing an ACC shirt to work tomorrow if Carolina won the title? Those Omahahahahans are such small-time doofuses, they still wag their tails like little puppy dogs. It's hilarious to watch.

Once again, it's a vindication of Villanova, which really they've always been a legitimate program being from the real Big East. It says nothing about the Creightons, DePauls, St. John's or other doormats of the conference.

Happy for Villanova and Jay Wright (even though a UNC win would've gotten me More bragging rights in my bracket, am happy to win a little no matter what since I had Nova and UNC in the championship game). Liked what Roy had to say about the difference in the game being so small, but difference in emotions being large. What a roller coaster the last 10 seconds!!! cant imagine what Mom Britt was going through!!!

Interesting -- after a long dry spell, this is the second non football playing school to win in the last nine tries: The Flagship in 2008 and Villanova this year. And Butler had a couple of other chances, too, but just couldn't deliver.

So who needs football?

I'm going to be honest. I was kind of rooting for UNC. Then no one would have won this year once UNC has to vacate everything (and if we can't win, no one can!). Also, the more success Roy has post-KU, the more angry KU fans get. They used to say he couldn't be that good of a coach since he never won at KU, but he's won a couple times at UNC.
