  • Notre Dame was probably the 5th best team in Orlando.

I'm not saying he was 100% responsible for the fund raising, but he was a part of it, and a sizable one at that. It doesn't get done without him here.
This is spot on. After RS took the reins the administration approached CK about a little help with the renovation and they were told lets see where this is in a few more years. RS was gone and MT was hired and the renovation started a couple of years later.

Bowles was a bust at Texas A&M, contributing almost nothing there. He shined at James Madison, but that's a completely different level of competition, night in and night out. There is no indication that Bowles would have been a major contributor under Turgeon. Maybe he would have, but probably not.

James Madison is D1 right? Would that have transfered over to the Valley? Cut his stats in half, max, and we'd have 12 & probably 6.5 in the Valley.

A 6'10" frame, with real long arms, would have been a match-up problem, possibly, in the Valley.

But that's all way in the past anyway. I was just joining in the discussion.

My point was Turgeon, with Bowles, could have possibly had greater success here than he had at A&M... And not that Bowles was going to bring us to the promised land.

              • These announcers are insanely drooling all over Syracuse's goobers. No way that can be called indisputable that he was inbounds - especially when they added "by inches".
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

                  • Gonzaga got zagged on that call that the ball didn't cross mid court. it crossed before the 10 seconds were up and was then Clearly touched and pushed back across by the Syracuse player.

                    • I believe the rule is you have to have possession before 10 seconds

                        even if possession changes?

                          • 4 ACC teams in the Elite Eight, all playing each other. We are guaranteed an All-ACC national semifinal. Yuck! I know a lot of upsets caused it to happen this way, but still, I'm not thrilled at all about how this tournament is playing out. I seriously doubt if Syracuse would still be playing had Sparty not got upset in the First Round

                            • Now that we are down to 8, although it's fairly easy to decide 2 of them. Who does everyone have in the final four? I'm going Carolina, Virginia, Oklahoma and Villanova. That would make for a couple damn good semifinals IMO. I think 6 of the 8 teams remaining have a legit shot to win it all.
