arizona is a blue-blood now. they've been riding high for 30 years. they will come out on fire, looking to instantly show little, still, wichita state a lesson in big-boy basketball.. just like ohio state, louisville, uk, iu, ku etc.did. 'shox will have to weather an early storm.

I think Nurger will have an important role to play.
If you look at our games against really good big men (Zimmerman, Poetle, Mock, ect...) he has given us a few quality minutes of defense off the the bench each time. AZ has excellent size and depth so he and possibly BW will need to give SM, AG, and RK some help. Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

Thanks for the kind words however. :chuncky:

Now, one could make the argument that Wichita State's defensive statistics are as good as they are because of the conference it plays in -- the Missouri Valley Conference -- but the Shockers held the Kansas Jayhawks and Indiana Hoosiers to a sub-40 percent field goal percentage in the NCAA Tournament last season and shut down Vanderbilt on Tuesday.

How many minutes will Markis have in AZ game?
He and Brown are important. One or both must have a nice game.

Concerning Arizona stat: Unlike Vanderbilt's marshmallowy soft big men (mediocre at best rebounding team despite 3 7 footers) Arizona hits the glass. 35th over all in O-rebound% and 13th in D-rebound%. Our bigs will have to work the glass.
Encouraging Arizona stat: the Cats are mediocre at taking care of the ball. 165th in TO%. And both point guards can be turnover prone. Look for VanVleet and Baker to get their hands on lots of balls.
