What a second half by the Shockers. Based on KenPom rankings the defense we face Thursday shouldn't be as strong. Can we maintain the momentum from the second half for one more game? That would be nice.

One things for sure, the defense is going to be there as long as we're still standing.

And yes, for the record, it wasn't all sunshine at my place during the game. But I've been watching basketball long enough to know that things can change quickly and something I say in the heat of the moment can look incredibly stupid later. Talking **** on players who work way harder than I do to get to the level they're at and who want to win more than anybody just isn't my style and I think it's uncalled for.

If it's fair game for you guys to comment on the performance of our team and players from the comfort of your couch then it's surely fair game for to me to call out the nonsense that's spouted on the game threads.

Being at this game in person was great. My highlight of the night: Vandy's band playing Low Brass and the shocker fans taking it over while their cheerleaders were on the court only to get "go shocks!" yelled back at them. That had to be deflating.

The first half was stressful, but I knew we would stretch out a lead. Some locals in front of us asked how we thought the 2nd half was going to go. I told them we would win by 10. I'm fine with being wrong.

Shockers looked great. Can't wait for Thursday.

We beat vandy by 20. Does that make them the same caliber as an average mvc team? Why is uni the only other team in a post season tourney?

vandy had a top ten defense in the country(fg%). if they had been in the mvc, it would have been no.1, no doubt.

Also, I assume ISUr is abstaining from the NCAA shares we earn this postseason. Maybe you shouldn't hand out scouts on teams that fund your salary.

Useful scout though. The "get a T cause you're an idiot that officially ends the game" is a classic Muller move.

Credit to Vandy, they put up a fight for a large portion of that game but in the end we just wore them down with our tough relentless defense. Add in an offense that looked much better in the second half and we are a tough team to handle.

Grady got the rebound, handed it to Fred, Ron went over to Fred and said something like "hey, let's give it to Grady", Fred agreed and handed it to Ron who ran over and gave it to Anton.

Laughed my butt off in the TV post game when Fred was asked about stitches in his eye and he said "Oh,no - I don't do needles!"
Dude - did they draw those tats on with a Sharpie? There are at least 4 hours of needle work in that sleeve. Cracked me up.
