I can't think of any NCAA tournament games that the Shockers have played poorly in since maybe our match-up with VCU in which we got off to a very slow start. Even the ND game last year wasn't a poorly played game, ND just shot the heck out of the ball. When the lights are bright we seem to shine.

It's obvious our squad will coalesce behind our All American guards and our foes will focus on stopping them. At the Dance last Season FVV scored 27-17-and 25 and Baker went 15-12-9 in our three games. We don't have to have a triplicate of these stats to win games this time. However, our defense has to be very stingy, we have to stay out of foul trouble, rebound, and make smart shots both inside and then out. Our guard duo has the most NCAA minutes played of the whole Field of guards at this here Dance it appears to me.

As important as these 2 will be, teams will work hard to keep their performance to a mild roar. That's where our other starters and top subs come in. When we are peaking and executing, bring the foes on, one at a time, and we will be fine.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

At today's press conference, Wade Baldwin IV of Vanderbilt said didn't know who Ron Baker and Fred VanVleet were before today. I'm calling BS on that.

Wow. Way to make yourself look like a moron, Wade.

True dat. I have ALWAYS liked our chances in the tournament. Teams don't often play with our intensity and our coaches prepare the team with a winning game plan.

Our Final 4 Season, after La Salle defeated K-State, they were asked about us and acted clueless and not impressed. Then when the game started and we turned the beast Carl Hall lose on them inside, they got educated from jump street as to exactly who we are.

I can't really blame him too much...I had never heard of Wade Baldwin IV before just now and he's even on mock drafts.

                      • Onegreatracer - If you want a little piece of history you might grab a steak at the Pine Club. Presidents have eaten there and you feel like you walked into 1960. Outside of the steaks it's limited, but if you have time it's fun.

I didn't know they had 3-7-footers. WOW!!! We have played taller teams this Season than I ever remember. 3G will make sure we know all about them. Shaq Wall's picks reminds me of the Commodores "Brick House" tune but our Shocks bigs must stay out of foul trouble.
