Guess that made them happy...."hey, we gave up 99, but held Frankamp to 3.....VICTORY!!!!!"

Side note: South Carolina made it to the NIT championship game that year too, substantiating KenPom's rating.

Edit: Meh, you edited your post and added that fact ... :)

It's funny you say that. We leave our seats a few minutes after final buzzer (after the stairs have cleared), and due to where we park on campus, and the entrance/exit we use, we literally just get in our car and drive home. Alternatively, I was lucky enough to sit with some friends one game this year in the high dollar corporate seats. The seats came with a parking pass, and it was a NIGHTMARE getting out. If we would have just used our normal seats and MO, we would have been home probably 30 minutes earlier, maybe more.

I'd love to have lower bowl court side seats, but you can keep the parking pass.

Just for the record I want to say I said nothing about gray-haired folks. For one thing I am gray-haired.

Does that reflect his coaching prowess?

I suspect one reason that causes some of those with close in parking passes to leave early is that they don't want to fight the departing traffic.

I have had access to parking passes on the west side of the arena and have always turned them down. Where I park is about an 8 minute walk that I enjoy. I am usually off campus within 2 to 3 minutes (or less) of getting to my car. I usually leave the arena shortly after the final buzzer. About 20 minutes total from arena to recliner.

I have had trouble getting out of that parking on the west side of the arena after volleyball games. At least with men's basketball you have the post-game show on the radio you can listen to if you do get hung up.

If you take the high road, you won't find much traffic there . . .

                  • The lots south of 17th street are golden for quick exiting. Even parking in the lots south of Rhatigan/Elliot/Ahlberg you can get snared in the traffic exiting the campus drives. South of 17th, not so much.

The lots south of 17th are golden for the WSU student "parking problem" crowd too, but that means they'd probably have to discover they exist in the first place.

I knew Steve when I went to school with him. I remember hanging out with him at the shop where he worked in the CAC (If I'm remembering him correctly, but there couldn't be more than one Steve Wisdom, could there?)

I'll get my girlfriend to pray for him (I think she has a more direct line than I do), but my thoughts are with him and his family.

You might not have noticed, but in a 30 point blowout, Fred and Ron generally aren't in for the last 4 minutes. I don't begrudge anyone leaving who isn't interested in seeing the walk-one play mop up duty.

                          • My wife commented that she felt Lusk simply gave up and stopped coaching the second half. I felt very Bearlike because I had no defense for him.
