On the crowd: I was disappointed but the early leavers. However, the energy in the arena was way higher than it normally is for a blowout, though that may have been the product on the court. I noticed some leaving with two media timeouts to go, but nearly half the arena left at the final media timeout when the end of the bench filed in. I don't agree with that mentality, but in order to understand it I have to think that these people only stayed for the atmosphere of the game and to watch Ron, Fred and Co. play.

If we want to stop early leavers, we have to provide a better game atmosphere. Maybe instead of killing the energy with a poorly planned promotion every 4 minutes, put one or two promotions at the end of the game that only apply to those that stay all game. For example, have the kiddie dunk contest after time expires and give a physical coupon out to those in the winning section if they stayed until the game was over. Or give out a codeword during the highlight reel for a discount. It is win/win. The people get a flat-out better experience, and they have a reason to stay in their seats till the game is over. I wouldn't even mind doing the ball-toss at the end of the game and playing War then.

In short, I loved the team today. We played probably our best overall game of the season, with almost no sour notes up and down the roster. But I am disappointed at our media team and crowd, and if the university doesn't actively make changes I feel the current situation will stay the same or get worse. Our fans come to watch Wichita State basketball, and honestly it feels like they are fighting our media team to do that. That is where I would look to make changes immediately.

It is amazing how different this team looks when the Sophomores look focused and aggressive. If they play like that the rest of the season, no one stands in this teams way.

a few thoughts.....watched the game from different seats that I've been in recently...loved the higher up vantage to see flow.
* I told my wife early on when Connor did do pursue a loose ball that he was going to hear about it from Gregg...he certainly did...and was much more engaged defensively after that.
* carved the zone up nicely...saw Ron pull away defenders, open an inside pass.
* thought the officiating was solid tonight.
* would love to have seen Rauno earlier, and could someone get him longer warm up pants?
* Wanted 100 badly!!!
* the 4 minute stretch from 12 to go to 8 to go in second half was sloppy, as well as the first two minutes second half...aside from that, golden.

I don't leave games early, but I don't get the furor over people who choose to...their ticket, their call.

I hate CBSsport network. Can't see replays of the game and can't get the game live. HORRIBLE...

I can't speak to that but I thought the production and commentary was top notch. Never heard of any of the on screen talent but I thought they were very complimentary of the Shox and didn't miss much during the game.

Agree and as much as I enjoy mark Adams it's nice to hear from a different crew and not hear the same things over and over and over.

Now that you mention it, I didn't notice the officials at all. And that's how it should be. Probably the best officiating I can remember this season. Well done, crew.

Why do I listen to the shocker locker room post post game show? I've heard about the Duke vs NC game, heard multiple people ask how many losses WSU has, heard plenty of other dumb drunk questions. They need to screen those calls better. And don't let the callers drag on and on. If they can't find quality shut it down.

That show needs to be taken out back and shot. **** me it is horrible.

1. Baker is the best defender in the Midwest.

2. Damn that was fun to watch.

3. At halftime, saw Will Kunkel out on the concourse. The lady on his arm was hotter than bacon grease.

4. The heavyset blonde that usually sits next to Mrs. p, always leaves the game at halftime. Odd.

5. This time she sold her tix to some guy who stuck. We had to move.

8. Kelly was the best he has been.

9. Frankamp still can't make shots. That would be a gamechanger, make no mistake about it.

10. At halftime they hauled some guy out the north end on a stretcher. Lotsa cops & EMTs.
