One thing that Gregg said in his post game Mike/Dave talk was that he thought MSU had a good skill set(paraphrasing that)...I'm not sure what he meant by that....not once did I feel there was anyone besides Church who could play for WSU, but obviously I trust his assessment WAAAAY more than mine.

I know it was a blowout, but I dunno. I'm just kinda over the spoiledness."Long wave the Yellow and the Black..."

Not to put words in Gregg's mouth, but I think he was intimating that MSU has several talented and skilled offensive players. They can score.
They are, however, a horrific defensive squad. And they are young. Outside of Boone, they are weak. That's often closely associated with youthfulness.
One comment on Tyler McCullough. I wish he was graduating. He's a *****. He's always been a *****. He comes in and fouls hard. He cheap-shotted Rashard last night. He's done it before.
If I didn't know better, and I am NOT suggesting this is the case, but the casual observer might think he was being sent in for a purpose.

It's not a crime to leave early, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if they brought back the WuShock anti-leaving-early videos. I kind of wonder if some of those who leave early (a good number of which are some of the higher dollar supporters) may have complained about the light being shined on them with those videos.
I am very lucky (through my employer) to have access to very good seats for most games. There are some in that area that you can set your watch to when they leave early.

2010 Dayton did the same thing. They finished 18th AFTER winning the NIT. They were 37th on selection sunday.
The highest ranking team in KenPom to ever be left out was #22. It was 2002 South Carolina, who at 18-14 (8-11 in the SEC) went to the NIT. They had a ton of close losses, and a ton of blowout wins (thus the fairly high KenPom rank), but the committee apparently said 18-14 wasn't good enough. They made it to the NIT Finals and made a decent case that they really were a good team, just really unlucky in close games.
Expanding to the KenPom top 30, as of selection sunday, only about 3-4 teams have ever been left out. You really have to get into the 30-40 range of his ranks before you start to find many teams in the NIT.
The Shockers are safely in whether they finish with 7 or 8 losses total. Only if they reach 9 will I be concerned.Last edited by Jamar Howard 4 President; February 19, 2016, 01:07 PM.

Quite frankly the folks who leave early are generally the ones that tend to just sit on their hands and don't make much noise anyway so it really doesn't impact the atmosphere that much.
