I personally do not drink, however, I'm all for beer sales if they will increase revenues to help pay Marshall's salary. Another increase in ticket prices would be a bad decision in my opinion.

The NCAA has made money in beer forever. Sure, it comes in the form of a tv contract from the networks, who then sell beer advertising, but that money still goes to the NCAA.
When the NCAA basketball tournament comes to Wichita, the inside arena will be sanitized of any beer advertising. No ribbon board ads, and any permanent signage will be covered up. Yet the games on TV will be peppered with beer commercials, if not for the beer commercials, there would ne no profit in the tourney.
At least now, the NCAA is considering allowing the product that most supports the NCAA, to be sold at NCAA events. There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

All the MVC schools that can't get a couple thousand to a game might see an increase with booze sales.

If I had a choice between our wussy alma mater showing instant replays of fouls on the scoreboard or beer, I'd take the instant replays every day of the year. But I don't think showing instant replays of fouls on the scoreboard AND beer should be sold at the same time. One or the other should work -- both would be a disaster.Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

I remember as a student drinking in the parking lot and then going into the game. Good times. Also brought a little something in a few times. I am with Bob Marley on this one "legalize it, don't criticize it".
How we make CKA the best home game atmosphere in college basketball:
1. Sell Alcohol
2. Use 1/2 the revenue to hire more security
3. Use other 1/2 to replace revenue from poorly timed advertisements, thus eliminating them.
4. When opponents are forced to take a TO 10,500 get all jacked up as the band starts playing and the roof nearly caves in.
5. ProfitβLet your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.β

Perhaps it's not out of the line of possibility to create so much revenue that they could lower ticket prices for all sports?
