We need to do something crazy and literally eject some teams. Rather than us having to look elsewhere, this conference needs to give 5 of its schools an ultimatum and dump them if they can't make it happen. Keep the name of the conference and drop the teams that don't want to try. I know that never will happen but that's what needs to happen. Open up 3-5 spots and fill them with good teams out of the summit and horizon instead of losing creighton and filling in for them with a terrible horizon team...

How about the MAC, Summit, Horizon, and MVC create a four tier rotating conference similar to Euro-cup. Finish in the top two of your conference and move up a level. Bottom 2 move down. Repeat each year based on previous year's standings.

Absolutely. My honest answer is Loyola, Drake and probably Evansville. The flukes that have happened to Drake and Evansville are not something to sway me. I'd keep everyone else. I'm not asking for much.

If I had to go to 5, it would be tougher to answer. I'd have to know who I was trading for :) but the teams that are safe from my wake of destruction would be SIU and Bradley for now.

Drake and ISUb have been the worst for the longest. SIU and MSU are also in financial down turn and UE and LUC commit no money. WSU, UNI, BU, ISUr plus whatever team you want of the remaining 6. Is that a better conference?

Yea Marshall didn't want to express his opinion on the air lol. It would be nice to get in a better situation, some new league with a little more flash. But I don't see it happening, I hope I'm wrong but I don't see it. I just hope some of the teams that were relevant in the past BU, SIU and even ISUr can get their act together and make this league a two-three bid league every year. As bad as the Valley has been we still have a handful of good wins, North Carolina, Iowa State, Utah, UNLV, Oklahoma State, Creighton. Problem is following those up, being consistent, winning road games. Depth is another problem for most Valley teams. The Shockers are deep, built like a deep Power 5 team, and a team that plays great defense and rebounds and we don't turn the ball over. Great guard play and that travels well on the road.

I like this. A lot. Even if it has no chance of ever happening.
