If you adjust our RPI for our injuries, we are around 30 dropping Orlando or 18ish assuming most-likely outcomes (beat USC, lose to Xavier, beat Monmouth). Compared to Missouri State in 2006, we are clearly a better team with a better resume. Missouri played and lost to a single top 100 team in their OOC (#45 Arkansas), and was 2nd in the MVC (2 games behind 1st) with a scoring margin of 5.3 PTs/G. The 7th best team we played in our OOC would be the 2nd best team Missouri State did, and they didn't have as strong a conference performance (20 PTs/G, win by 4 games) or injury issues or a high KenPom. Missouri was left out explicitly because they did not even try to put together a non-conference schedule.
Compare to the teams that are supposed to overtake us. No team over 80 in KenPom or 67 in RPI has ever got an at-large. So no LSU, Alabama, Temple, Houston, or Michigan. And only 3 each have ever gotten in with an RPI over 62 or a KenPom in the 70s. That hits Gonzaga, Saint Bonaventure, and George Washington. If we are penalized for not having enough quality wins, surely they can't jump us with a team with the same problem. The following are within 1 win of us either top50 or top100: Saint Mary's, Cincinnati, VCU, Valporaiso, SDSU, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Monmouth, AR Little Rock, Pittsburgh, Florida, Tulsa, and Connecticut.
Finally, no team in the last 5 years has missing the tournament with a 30 or lower KenPom. We are 11. We are so far above the mark it isn't funny. Add in the adjusted RPI being 18 or 30, and you could make a solid case that healthy we are a 3-4 seed and even with a bare minimum adjustment for injuries we have an argument for as high as a 7 seed. Conservative seeding should put us somewhere in the 9-10 range.

I really hope you guys make again this year. Obviously I don't want Butler to face you in the first round though, Lunardi is projecting as of today. I'm getting kinda nervous that WSU and/or Monmouth might get the shaft.
