Just a minor correction: we lost in the championship to Creighton, not in the semis. Remember, the championship CBS decided to change to the start some Big 10 game over airing the remainder of a championship game with an eventual Final 4 team. Laughable.
Time for people to relax. I've done quite a bit of research this week and I as comfortable as I can for a team that is on the bubble. Tonight I plan to go through the team sheets and see where we fall if the committee only chooses to look at RPI, which they won't. Either way, I still think that puts us in. Part of the deal about the RPI argument, is when you look at the other teams that supposedly should be in over us, they have RPI's from the mid 50's up to even 90. Currently I think we have about a 12-15 spot cushion on the bubble. Puts us squarely in the 8/9.
To clarify, I am certainly no expert.

Also for Davis to throw out margin of victory, and then to say WSU's deciding factor on not getting in would be no quality wins, but doesn't hold the counter stance that horrible losses should be weighted in then, just happens to ignore Monmouth's 3 sub 200 rpi losses. It's like Seth Davis all of a sudden either took crazy pills, or he's being pressured from his bosses to make a stink about WSU for views or something. It's the only two things I can think of. Just 3 weeks ago he had WSU at #13 in his AP ballot. So in 3 weeks they've gone from #13 in the country, to #69 at best?
Insane.

Lets understand where CBS is coming from. They obviously had a meeting a few weeks ago. They decided the stance they are going to take is WSU is out of the tourney. It is all about opportunity cost. If they rightly predict us out, no matter how slim, suddenly Jerry Palm has just evened up the playing field aand had a great PR move against Joey Brackets, his main competitor. If we are in, they can easily say "Obviously, the committee takes more stock in metrics like Kenpom than it did even a few years ago." By the first game in Dayton on Tuesday, everyone forgets Jerry Palm sucks at bracketology.

All kidding aside, he knows WSU may be on to bigger and better things. The best thing for him to do is to make the Shox as successful as possible to make the MVC attractive to new suitors. The Assman

Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.
