So what about the statement made to Katz (I think?) in December where he stated the NCAA would consider injuries in regards to WSU? They basically contradicted themselves then?

Not a casual fan at all, have had season tix for 17 years...thru the good and bad. I want them to win every game as well. I'm probably the biggest fan on this board but just a realist....so I guess ur assessment is a bit off...nice try.

I don't know what Rasmussen says is really a contradiction. He does say they discuss injuries leading up to the selection week, just that it not part of the process during the selection week. So it seems that injuries get accounted for less formally than how Katz makes it sound.

Then there is what Seth Davis said a few days ago that is encouraging.

The selection committee is going to give Gregg Marshall some much-deserved credit for putting together a challenging schedule, and it will give the Shockers the benefit of the doubt because they did not have a full complement of players for any of their losses. ---- Seth Davis

You define your fandom any way you want to and you are free to call it realism. As for me, I "bleed black and yellow" and refuse to bet against my team.

I know this wasn't directed at me, but I consider myself as more than a casual fan that always wants my team to win. I'm still okay if we lose. I was here in the 90's. If I wasn't okay, I wouldn't still be here.

I seem to have trouble sleeping after every game.

I get myself pretty worked up and my buddies have learned to take cover... :)

When you listen to every game as a kid on the radio that I couldn't get to (home and away), and sticking with the team through thick and thin ( a lot of thin) for 50 years, I'll listen to you. :)

25 years a fan with 10years on the AM radio as a kid is best I can do. If you've got 50 years, you may not make it to my 50.

No, you defined my fandom as a "casual fan", I just corrected you........ Im glad u never bet against the shox but I've found it is best to wait and and put the cash on the shox in the 2h. The last 3 years their 2h record ATS is 79%...You can make a bunch of "Fredbucks" betting the Shox in 2h of games...As far as 50 years of following the shox on radio, well Im not that old but I do remember listening to Shox clinch the '76 MVC, no tourney then, by beating SIU. But the greatest game I ever listened to was around '79 when WSU was down like 10-11 points to DePaul and Mark Aguire with 2 minutes left...... and won, now that was a fun night on our Mount Hope farm.

I started listening to the Shockers on the radio in 1955; when did you hear your first game?

I watched the Shox defeat the British in 1783!

This is no longer a good contest to win. :)

I can verify this, as I was riding by on my horse yelling "The British Are Coming"
