Six hours posted with a C or better average is correct. He talked like it wasn't a done deal but if I read him right, he wasn't taking anything for granted. Conner is only eligible when the WSU Compliance person calls him and says Conner is eligible. This could be one hour prior to playing UNLV.

If you said Indiana shot 46 percent from the field and 55 percent from the 3 point line, I would say how bad did UNLV lose by. Having Fred back is great, but even he said he's still being careful and hesitant (understandably so). They held dangerous Yogi to 9 points, what do you think they'll do to a 80-90 percent Fred?

Shaq won't go 6 for 7 against these guys and the entire team is shooting horribly this year. We lose by 8.

My hopes are high however. If we can go 5-0 the rest of the way in the non-con, we're back in business for an at-large. Crossing my fingers.
I seem to remember playing Indiana. Yogi Ferrell had 24 points, 3 assists, no blocks/steals/rebounds. Fred and Ron combined for 42 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 7 steals, and a block.

        • Rebel fan here. UNLV will have a tough go of it against the Shockers, mainly because our coach has not proven he is up to the task as of yet, although I have high hopes for David. However, the suggestion that any WSU team could beat UNLV's 1990-1991 teams is absolutely ludicrous Those teams are considered some of the best teams of all time with multiple lottery picks and an average win margin of over 20 points a game. Even the implication that the 2 teams could be compared is frankly insulting. Regardless, I'm looking forward to the game, it should be good.

            • It's starting to sound like the 07-08 team would have had no problem beating any team these clown have ever floored.

Oh yeah?! Well our 1987 team's daddies were bigger than any team's daddies that UNLV has EVER put on the floor! In fact, our elite hirsute stud was fathered by a lumberjack with so much sperm that he grew a third testical.

Seriously take that playground talk home, it doesn't work here.

                And welcome aboard Shockernet!

                • Again, I'll repeat.

That 1991 Duke team must've been a hell of a team.

Hall was not nearly as good as he was the next year when we went to the Final 4 (I think he may have averaged 4 points and 4 or so rebounds).
I think carl was on the mvc all newcomer team as a jr and went for about 10 and 5 a game. Id have to look it up

Carl went for 8.4 points and 5.0 rebounds as a junior.

                      • GOOD MORNING SHOCKERS !!

Flying in today staying at the team hotel. How about RESTURANT suggestions and bar ideas. Bar should be around campus RESTURANT can be anywhere downtown near Waterman Street, We have a car so no biggie driving.

How far is Waterman st.,from the arena ?? The bars, they close at 1am ?? Any men's clubs around worth going to ? Not a priority, but just incase.

Last time I was here you guys slaughtered us lol.,God that was horrible. Looking for a really competitive game as the REBELS look great so far this year. Our starters should be Zimmerman, Dwayne Morgan, Patty Macaw, Ike Nwamu and Seagears at point. MaCaw is really turned out to be good and of course Zimmerman is a double double machine.

Ben Carter will check in after a few minutes and is a solid big guy, look for him, home town boy. Derrick Jones a freshmen is a hidden gem who can all of a sudden go off, amazing ability, his dunks are crazy good. Our offense and Defense look great this year.

Hope it's a good game, glad you guys are getting your healthy players back. Here's to a great game. Please try to answer the above questions, there are 6 of us.

                        Best regards

                        • I love these fans. We're not allowed to enjoy any speculation that ANY shocker team in history could beat their 25 year old basketball team. To them, that is literally insulting.

How much did they hang their entire program hat on that season? They must have hung one banner for each win that year.

Am I at least allowed to say that an 80s WSU all star team could have maybe stolen the first half before getting blown out of the gym in the second?

NO! Absolutely not. Their team was better than Daa bears and Daa Bulls AND Ditka plus a hurricane named Ditka combined

                            • I'll be forever indebted to the Rebel fair weather fans. The year Larry Johnson was a senior, the Rebs were undefeated going into the final four, which was in Indianapolis. Duke cleaned their clock, and like true Rebel fans, they all dumped their tickets.

So I got tickets at cost to go to the game and watch Duke cream KU. They were great seats, Irv Cross, the CBS NFL broadcaster sat right in front of me, Dan Quale (the VP at the time) in the section below me.

Depends what you want to eat. Lots of just about anything on Webb Road and or Rock Road. Craft beers downtown but you can get those on Rock Road and or Webb Road. Burgers and really cold beer Twin Peaks. Someone else will have to fill you in on any mens clubs:)
