He's not leaving the University if that's what you're thinking. He's just turning athletics over so he can concentrate on SA.

On another note, there's some interesting overreaction going on right now in this thread. I certainly don't see this as a case of whiny bitches getting their way. These kids are trying to make a positive impact on their world. How many of you guys are baby boomers? You guys caused quite a stir back in the 60s and 70s; are you now complaining about whiny kids getting their way? As a matter of fact, this country was founded by a group of whiny bitches who were tired of their voices not being heard, and they threw a fit until they got their way from King George III. I love what these kids are doing--they're standing up for what they think is right, they're stepping up as leaders, and they're effecting change. I'm proud of 'em.

I don't agree with her and I don't agree with the SG. Both are tantrum throwing whiners. Get tough people, you don't always get your way.

Look, I have no clue what the entire context of the situation is. So, I can't say I'm for or against what the kids are doing. But I will say this. As I sat down this morning and had my coffee and watched ESPN, they spent an HOUR talking about a Tennessee Titan fan who was so appalled at Cam Newton's touchdown dance she wrote a scathing letter in Nashville. My response? You took that risk when you took your 9 year old daughter to an NFL game. Boo hoo.

Unfortunately, as the rest of the world cries wolf about stupid ****, people that have a real purpose to stand up and fight for something -- perhaps like the kids at WSU -- are going to get swallowed up within the new world of politically correctness, overreaction, and the entitlement to be offended at everything. It's gotten out of hand IMO. Threads like this are proof that the people that could be taken seriously, won't be. And that's the frustrating part.

Comparing the freedom and God-given rights of millions, and billions in the future hardly compares with wanting a little more staff diversity and scholarships at a mid-sized university.

And have those kids doing what they think is right and affecting changed stopped to consider if that change is worth the trouble they are causing in the lives and families of others? Other than by attrition, they won't get more staff diversity without others losing their jobs. Groups like that never seem to consider the cost to anyone but themselves.

I think Sexton would be better fit in government affairs. I just don't think AD was his cup of tea. Hopefully this is the best for all parties.

With that said, let's please keep the extra garbage out of here.

I'd wager every last season ticket I have that this NEVER would have been brought up had not Mizzou and KU happened.

This was about, as is SO often today, kids wanting attention. Mizzou got attention, KU got attention, by God WSU wasn't going to get left out, or more importantly whatever whineyass snot nosed entitled professional student wasn't going to get left out.

Selfies, Exchangogram, your own youtube channel, blogs, unique minorities, someone offended me, hear my pain, make me whole again for my hurt.

                        Serious questions:

Where did the call to create a Director of Diversity position come from?
And was there also a call to have a tuition increase to pay for it?

Boy, do I have a different take on this. When the deal with Adams blew up, suddenly Sexton got a new assignmjent. That timing was quite a coincidence. I'm not a big believer in coincidencs when there are facts that can explain the "coincidence".

I always believed Sexton was on his way out as AD once it was known how he had handled Adams and the players who went to him with their concerns. Not just dropping the axe all at once was a nice way to smooth things out and not create a larger controversy than the one brewing then.

There's a lot we don't know, but one pretty big red flag is an apology letter will be sent to those he verbally attacked. That language in the info released from WSU is pretty strong. Sexton may have crossed some lines that should not be crossed by someone in his position.

So, the students complain. Without knowing what Sexton is apologizing for, it's pretty tough to trash the students for complaining. If, as some believe, Sexton was already on his way out, then the students got absolutely nothing from Bardo that wasn't going to happen any way.

Both she AND the cry bullies need to go have some group therapy together.

It's interesting that one of the cry bullies' chief complaints was apparently a lack of minorities on staff -- so they targeted the newly hired black man in charge. Hee hee
