WSU Versus Emporia State--Predictions and Pregame Discussions
SHOXMVC - apparently you are more interested in your clever attempts to belittle rather than to
"debate". Sorry, I won't play that childish game with you.
Tomorrow should be a better posting day for you I hope. Now, stop bothering me today with your sub-standard posting takes, Chuckie Cheese is about to do his hamster impression.
It is one game. Remember we have CF coming in who will be the zone breaker this year. Just need to survive till then and keep the at-large chances alive.

Not sure if serious.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Why wouldn't I - it was clear they couldn't handle Grady down low so they went to zone - except for Fred spurt nobody could do anything to get them out of the zone even though they had open looks. That is what CF should bring to the table - somebody who will hit those open looks.

The handling of their zone definitely needed some work, but I wonder the "not sure if serious" was about the second sentence?
If CF doesn't playing defense and rebound, he won't be busting any zones. I'm not saying he won't, only that we haven't seen it yet.
True, but CF can't play defense much worse than we did against Tulsa. He would have been an upgrade over an injured VanVleet or a foul every 120 seconds like Shamet. Rebounding for guards isn't as important as limiting turn overs. He's pretty good at that already.

I have a feeling we are going to REALLY appreciate CF come December 12th. Now that we've seen our freshman in action, there is reason to believe he will be more than able to hang, and he may be just what we need.

Since we will face every imaginable zone ever, Conner could very well be our top zone buster. His shooting touch could have been very handy in a game such as the Tulsa loss. Only those at practice are aware how of his improved his defense is progressing. Our first glimpse of this will be at Intrust Arena when we thump Utah who is a solid team.
Hopefully, we work hard and often on our Offense penetrating without charging. It was probably my zest for the Shockers that made me feel like when Tulsa charged/plowed into us it was called a blocking foul like the Shocks were emulating Jake White. Then when we penetrated and contact occurred, it was then called a charge? It was prolly my halcyon Shocker/slant and vintage age setting in? We are making our throws and this trend needs to be continued and stressed more than ever IMO.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.
No need to make predictions for this game. Having to suit up and step on the court is just a technicality. What should be created is a FVV Prediction thread as to when he's back to his normal self.
We could probably win this game by 50, but I know Marshall will use this game to get our freshmen some valuable minutes and hopefully get Morris and Brown off the snide. Use this game as a tune up, and rest Fred and get him ready for Orlando. Shox 85 Hornets 54.
