Auburn had that big win, as did Alabama a week ago, consistency is a hard thing to perfect. This has been a season where there clearly isn't a number one team. I think anyone of 20 teams if they get on a roll at the right time with a favorable draw and a few breaks can win it all.
UE's next 4 are brutal (@ISUb, @SIU, vs. WSU, @UNI), but they have a great chance at ripping 7 straight W's after that stretch to finish the regular season. Will be interesting to see how they perform.
What circuitous path took Mock from Elbonia to Evansville?
Pretty sure the road went through Ulna and Tibia.
One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.
Lunardi adjusted his top seeding. KU falls to #3 overall but still a #1. FYI so is OU.
Leaving KU as a 1 seed is absolutely inexcusable on Lunardi's part. I was flabbergasted when I saw that. Not because I think Lunardi is particularly excellent at his job, just that he normally isn't THAT bad.
Putting KU ahead of Villanova, Iowa, West Virginia, and Maryland is indefensible.

This. I have often disagreed with Lunardi's prognostications, but at least listened and somewhat respected his knowledge. I would even go with the argument that MAYBE KU still deserved a #1 seed after the loss at WVU, but after the bludgeoning from OSU? Pull your head out Joe.
