What makes you think McD will get fired after next season? I give him a minimum of three, including this year. He'll do better this year than last (almost a certainty), and probably a little better the year after that. Creighton is not going to fire the guy for that.

I honestly don't know their player situation, but usually when a team falls like they did last year it means they are rebuilding. And they'll usually improve over the next 2-3 seasons. If they plateau at mid-pack in the bE, then MAYBE he gets fired. If he somehow gets back to the NCAAs, he'll get several more years. He could easily spend another 6-7 seasons there and never get another NCAA victory.

They signed a top 50 forward out of Omaha. That should help Greg keep his job. Plus, when Big Daddy McD took the job at CU, he replaced a coach that got a promotion. He did not attempt to resurrect a sinking ship like UE will be if they fire Simmons.
