If Nurger learns to play with the heart that Hatch played with, he will be a stud when he gets back to the court.

Nurger had one his best practices ever today per 3G but I think the redshirt will remain in place for now.

I have a feeling Barney will do very good things for WSU in his career. He is not going to be your average walk on.

Burger, Barney, Allen, and Conner sound like the only red shirts. Coach said that he has the option of playing players who don't red shirt.

It's quite possible that with the redshirt he has unpuckered his buttcheeks, relaxed, and is simply playing loose in practice now. Good things happen when you aren't playing so tight that you can't change your underwear.

Indeed, in fact, 3G said he pulled him over asked him if he had the weight of the world lifted off of him.

3G said that or Nurger did?

That is what 3G said that he said to Rauno. Apparently, Rauno had a great practice. 3G pulled him aside what has gotten into you Rauno, has the weight of the world been lifted off of you.

That's about as close as I can recall 3G's quote on his radio show tonight.

With this depth, Gregg needs 2-3 more to step up and RS. He will not go past 10 deep unless it's mop up duty. Every year we talk about how great the depth is but it always seems Gregg settles into a 8-9 man rotation. Players need minutes.

I could be wrong but I have a feeling that we will play a 10 man rotation this year.

On the subject of Barney, what's the point of a walk on red shirting? The only thing I can think of is the player or coach feels there is scholarship potential in the future. Otherwise why would the player want to pay his own way for an extra year?

Many students take 5 years to graduate. With the demands of practice, games and travel it's probable that athletes will need 5. Additionally, most walk-ons likely believe they are good enough to earn a scholarship. Otherwise they would pursue opportunities at lower level programs.
