  • The best thing we have going for us right now is that UNLV, Utah, and especially Seton Hall games have and will be on national TV. The Seton Hall game is nationally in all homes as its broadcast on Fox. No excuse from pollsters that they couldn't watch the game or didn't get to see WSU play. UNLV was a good display, Utah game was a beat down of a top 25 team.

I don't see how WSU isn't ranked if they leave Seton Hall victors.

    • I think normally we would be a shoo-in to reappear quickly but this week and next are sort of the doldrums for OOC games. Few games on the slate for most teams and many are gimmes.

That said, if we can wow a national audience again on Saturday like we did vs. Utah, then we may not need as much attrition ahead of us to leapfrog our way in.

        12/19
        Butler lose to Purdue

        12/21
        Oregon lose to Alabama

        12/22
        SMU lose to Kent St
        Vanderbilt lose to Purdue

Oh, and if the Shox do win a few more in a row and get into the polls, in December, with 4 losses, I welcome the whining we will hear from goobers who don't know much of anything. It will be glorious.
THIS. I can't wait for the constant complaining about our resume this season, which will start the moment we get ranked...especially if it happens next Monday somehow. Then, later on we'll probably be on a 24 game winning streak at 29-4 entering the Dance and people will be pointing to our Orlando losses and the Tulsa loss prior to even that...

                • Looks like are showing up in about 1/3 of the voters polls, assuming everyone that out us in has is around #24-#25.

I'm thinking with one more solid performance against Seton Hall and we will be back in the poll next week.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

                    • 17 votes is pretty solid for a 4-4 team :) I was hoping to get like 1-5 this week. Everybody is gonna want to put us back in the top 25 as soon as they can. We just have to give the people what they want.

                      • Find the 2024-25 NCAAM rankings on ESPN, including the Coaches and AP poll for the top 25 NCAAM teams.

31 in both polls. Gaining momentum. Pretty soon there will be a lot of 2-3-4 loss teams around us, most likely with less impressive wins, and people will begin to wonder, so what's their excuse for losing those games?

                        • Cool! I would have never guessed we would have this level of poll traction after the skid.

                          EDIT: Meaning so soon.

I'm sorry I did it, but I clicked on the BPI rankings in the link above and found WSU at #64, right below (ugh!) Creighton (ugh!) at #63.

lolz. I'm not worried. Keep in mind this is a Creighton team that couldn't handle Loyola minus a starter.

And I bet Fox actually has the broadcast team at the arena.
