            • CBS Top 25

And as expected. WSU drops from 8th to 17th

KU Drops from 4th to 5th and MSU jumps from 10 to 4th after that game.

              • No real surprises there. I will be more intrigued by what the coaches and AP does with them. I'd trust both of those to have a better idea of what Tulsa has than CBS. Also, I think KU will fall a little farther (couple of spots) and MSU will rise a little less (couple of spots). Maybe 7 and 8 or something like that. Also, as much as I dislike Duke, I don't think they will fall as far as they did here after losing to the #2 team in the country.

We have plenty of opportunities coming up that will take us right back up the ladder. Notice that Utah and Notre Dame bracket us. Victories over them will be worth many rungs.

                    • Losing on the road drops WSU 9 spots. Losing on a neutral floor cements KU in the top 5.

For the record, I have no complaint with WSU's rank in that poll sitting at 1-1.

Agreed. Had we lost to Michigan St on a neutral court by 6 with FVV playing hobbled (but pretty well), we would not have fallen much, maybe 3-4 spots max. KWho's lack of drop is because Diallo is expected to be eligible soon by the voters. With him, they feel the Beekers would have beaten Sparty.

If between the previous poll and this one, it came out KU was to never get Diallo and they lost at Tulsa, they would have dropped more than any 9 spots.

                          • A healthy Virgin loses on on the road to unranked GW, and Gary Parrish moves them up two spots. What a schmuck.

In fact, that's more than just stupid!!! "Yes, the Cavaliers lost at George Washington on Monday. But there's no sense in punishing them too much for playing a tough road game early." Parrish, do you realize that GW was picked a distant 4th just barely picked ahead of #5 and #6 in the A-10 preseason poll. Tulsa was well ahead of #5 and close to #3 in the AAC poll. Another difference is that you have all 3 of the AAC teams that were ahead of Tulsa in your Top 24 and no from the A-10. Even the national polls have those 3 ahead of any A-10 in the voting.

It would appear that the AAC teams are thought to be tougher than the A-10. So you moved up a healthy UVA team 2 spots for losing a road game to a probably weaker team while dropping WSU with a hobbled VanVleet 9 spots because they lost a road game to a probably stronger team. Don't think I'm buyin' what you're sellin'.
