As long as Evan is on the court, he will be the guy that is open for a 3. When we're passing it around the perimeter, Evan is the one player the opposing team wants to take the shot, hence, he will always be open. What we do with that strategy, i have no idea.

I could make a suggestion here, but I'd probably end up with (another) back full of arrows. However, there were plenty of bricks being thrown up in the Illinois State game, especially in the second half, so there's plenty of blame to go around. I believe Wessel scored at least 5 points that I know of, he had two chippies under the basket and 1 of 2 free throws, so he had at least 5 points. That's pretty close to what I think he needs to score to make the defenses account for him.
Singling out poor shooting, for instance, Frankamp, who had 9 points and is, according to Mark Adams, our 3-point specialist must have missed at least 3 3-point shots in the second half. He has been in a slump lately and he needs to get it figured out.
But I still, for the life of me, didn't understand why Shaq wasn't in the game with about 3 minutes to go (instead of being subbed in with 12.5 seconds left) and it was very obvious that Marshall did not have an answer for the adjustments made by Muller at half, meaning he got outcoached.
So I think this loss was on the team and the coaching staff.

Either they were #17 last week or they are unranked this week. I can't accept both opinions simultaneously.

If WSU can still squeak in as a top 25 team in both polls it would be good and I can assure you we won't lose again. This is a galvanizing loss that will create a new drive, and we were already playing well prior to this game.
Falling all the way out would be sad because we are about to close this season out undefeated. Not having to get back over the hump again in the ranking system would be nice.

Their zone will be much better executed than the one we saw in Normal on Saturday. I think Lansing is a much better coach as well, so the coaching staff needs to do a better job at reacting quickly either to the zone or the halftime adjustments."I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."
