I don't think any were added last year. The year before they added the Bradley game. In fairness, we do have the FOX national network broadcast this year (which we didn't have last year) and I assume we will have a few games on the Valley's new contract with CBS Sports Net. But games on CBS Sports Net don't draw anywhere near the audience that ESPN games draw.

CBS Sports Network is a step up from FSN. Obviously not on par with an ESPN network game but it sure beats an FS1.
      Deuces Valley.
      ... No really, deuces.

CBS production value and broadcasting/analyst talent pool is light years ahead of FSN. I'm actually looking forward to WSU hopefully getting a few on there.

Other than Gottlieb, I really enjoy a lot of their analysts. Matean Cleaves, Wally Szczerbiak, Jon Rothstein, Seth Davis, and sometimes you can get Tracy Wolfson for the sideline reporting.

I wonder what the rationale surrounding that thought process is. I'm sure TV is a partial factor, but not 1? That's gotta be a first.
Good catch. That interesting. It doesn't make a whole lot of difference to me, but it is still pretty weird. On that same note, I looked more extensively at the schedule, and it appears that we have just two Saturday night games all season (at SLU and at Illinois State).

Of course, we still don't know the time yet for Illinois State at home. Considering the Shockers will be honoring an amazing senior class...COUGH COUGH...and will be making another run at an undefeated regular season...COUGH COUGH...the College Gameday folks might need to make a return to the 316...and this time, keep the A-team announcing crew here for a primetime game.

I am seeing Hawaii Pacific 2pm, Emporia State 2pm, Utah 2:30pm, Bradley 2pm, Northern Iowa 11am, & ISU red TBA, on a Saturday with ISU blue 3pm on Sunday. Interesting is that we play 3 Sunday road games (Bradley 1pm, Evansville 3pm, and ISU blue 3pm). This excludes tournament games. Fever is correct, no "night games"

I am thrilled for the season to get here.

              It is too bad really.

For many of us, the weekend daytime hours can be a busy time. Evenings works much better, as evenings = entertainment time for most. Plus, weekend evening games make for a great date night.

Oh well, first world problems and all.

If Gottlieb does a game at Koch I really hope Don Hall welcomes him so everyone has the chance to boo.

I certainly agree about CBS and FS1, but I'm looking forward to the opportunity for Gus Johnson to call one of our games.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere a while back that Stephen Zimmerman (big 5* for UNLV) wasn't going to play until second semester. Yesterday, I read somewhere else that he would be eligible in November. Am I just mis-remembering what I read before, or does anybody else remember seeing something like that?

                    • I assume that we are going to have a scrimmage with another D1 program since we only have one exhibition game. Anyone heard with whom or when that might be?

OU isn't very far away, and Buddy would probably love to come see Coach Kyle and some of his other Sunrise brethren.

Not a bad idea at all. Although I'd rather get to face something a little tougher and more consistent than big 12 competition in our scrimmage

That's true, but I don't think anybody from either coast is going to fly in for a scrimmage. We may have to settle for a middling Big 12-er until Hawaii Pacific and Charleston Southern get to town.

How about we scrimmage with a combo KjSU and Beakers? The Beakers can be pretty good competition when they import some additional talent.

But who would you import from KSU? Let them bring in Nic Moore since he's familiar with their system and a couple of their ineligible guys from the last few years, and then it might be worth watching. :)
