FYI, I have three college degrees from WSU, and I started attending Shocker home games before Antoine Carr was a freshman. As your math skills might be as lacking as your critical thinking skills, that is nearly 35 years ago.
KU lurker? Seriously?
Furthermore, I came to this site as I was tired of trying to discuss Shocker basketball on sites like ESPN, where KU fanboys are irrational, nasty, and juvenile. They endlessly talk about WSU as not a real college, GM is not a good coach, the shockers are not a good team, etc.
Seems like that type of fanboy is not just a KU phenomenon. So sad.
Regardless, Bill Shelf is a great coach, and me being a die-hard Shocker fan does not blind me to reality.
You also mention Wichita State in a mysterious 3rd person sort of way in a few of your earlier posts. I don't think you're fooling anybody. Your defensiveness on the subject is also well noted.
Bill Shelf sucks about as bad as your spelling and math skills do.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Over the last 6 games (small sample size alert) he had:
13.0 mpg 5.5 ppg 0.3 apg 2.0 rpg
So I think a reasonable estimate would be him playing 20 mpg as the 6th man next year.
I think a conservative estimate would be:
20 mpg 8 ppg 0.5 apg 4 rpg
But I think he will do better than that, I am thinking:
20 mpg 10.5 ppg 0.5 apg 5.5 rpg
Last year we had 3 players over 10 ppg. FVV, Ron and Darius. This year I expect we have a little more scoring balance with FVV, Ron, Grady, and ZBrown all averaging over 10 ppg.
That would be quite the luxury as your 6th man. What do you all think?"You Don't Have to Play a Perfect Game. Your Best is Good Enough."

So now I have to believe that somehow @Kel Varnsen: knows that @ShockerFever:'s real name is "Sven". Kel's plan is working, as Sven aka @ShockerFever: aka "The Swede" takes the bait?

I remember going through the minutes exercise last year and ending up with a plausible guess that turned out nowhere near the reality. Nurger got off to a decent start but then got sick and disappeared, Shaq's season went into the tank until after the Drake trip wake-up call, Carter fouled too often to stay on the floor as much as I'd hoped, Henderson wasn't the sort of PG Marshall wanted, Holland couldn't keep his man in front of him, Baker and FVV had to play more than I was hoping, etc., etc.
So I'm not even going to try this coming season. But this does appear to be the deepest Shocker I can remember, and (depending on illness and injury, of course) it looks like one where the problem will be too many good players to fill 200 minutes. I optimistically hoped that might be the case last year, but this team has a lot more experience returning and several more pieces, including some much more highly regarded newcomers than last time around.

I, unlike you, am not a blind to reality. If you think Bill Self is not one of the top college coaches in the country, that clearly demonstrates that you know next to nothing about college basketball.
That you are wrong on just about everything you write is not surprising. Pathetic, but not surprising.

For some reason I'm skeptical of Kelly's contribution to the team next year. He seemed to get worse as last year went on. He looked lost a majority of the time. He is my candidate to have a sophomore slump.
I think Zach and Bush are the two newcomers from last year that are going to contribute the most this year. I think as the season goes on Zach will start eating into Evans minutes and might begin to start over him later in the season. I think Bush will hold down some solid minutes as a defensive big man. Maybe even get some starts based off of match up.

And, yes, Bill Self is a very good coach, but Gregg Marshall is an even better one.

While I hadn't really thought about Kelly as a guy that could possibly slide down the depth chart, given the amount of work he's put in this offseason, it is possible that some of his classmates as well as some of the newcomers could eat into minutes he otherwise would've had. If our new guys from last year and this year are good enough to do that to Rashard, then we are going to have the ability (although I'm sure it won't happen) to run 3 complete line-ups out on the floor, and not have any of those 3 that wouldn't compete for an MVC title."You Don't Have to Play a Perfect Game.
