I usually just wait for the smoke to clear in matters such as these.

I doubt we'll ever know what really happened until Spain files the extradition papers.

Pretty good, Aargh. Maybe the reason Teddy wanted to go to Normal -- as if there were actually something Normal about Muller's program -- by a circuitous route was so the papers would get sent somewhere else and then lost before they could catch up with him.

If they get routed through Lagos, they'll never be seen again.

            Depends on the sport/position.

There's also a difference between an innate intelligence that allows an athlete to be very intelligent in some areas, such as an ability to very quickly absorb, evaluate, and decide on an incredible amount of shifting information in real-time during an athletic contest ... and the learned education that many athletes lack, either due to a lack of opportunities for a quality education from the position they began life from, or the tendency by teachers/school administrators to refuse to challenge athletes academically to enable their sports success.

Quite a bit of academic success is more about study habits and willpower than actual intelligence.

The "dumb jock" narrative is more from a high school level than a professional one, though.

Some of you are being too hard on them. Here is a Redbird fans take on the situation.

"Honestly, I don't think it's a lack of discipline. I think Muller has higher expectations of his players, so he punishes them for things that other coaches would not. "

Please, for the love of God, stop making me LOL.

Good heavens. Maybe he means Muller also punishes some misdemeanors, while other coaches -- and no doubt there are some -- wait for felonies before they act.

From the Illinois State board it appears Hawkins has been reinstated.

Kinda' reminds me of Barry Switzer and Marcus Dupree. Of course Muller will do anything to try to keep him on the team. He's the only horse Muller has.

                                My revised MVC prediction:

                                1. Wichita State
                                2. Northern Iowa
                                3. Missouri State
                                4. Southern Illinois
                                5. Indiana State
                                6. Loyola
                                7. Evansville
                                8. Drake
                                9. Bradley
