In all seriousness. If the punishment isn't up to what the MVC thinks is appropriate (like how the MVC "approved" of Marshall's punishment) couldn't they prevent ISUr from playing in Arch Madness or something like that? (not saying they should, but I would think the MVC would have some power somewhere)

Their coach will give the ol', "everyone deserves a second chance and Deontae, over the course of the past month, has been remorseful and held himself accountable for his actions. Therefore, he's earned his spot back on the roster". Or, he'll say, "he's been reinstated to the team and is eligible to play pending the legal process".

Either that or they will shut him down for the rest of the semester, lose every game and become one of this years RPI boat anchors in the MVC. He will be reinstated just in time for valley play where they will do nothing but drag down the conference profile as they finish in the upper half but only have an overall record of something around .500
