Thanks for pointing that out. When I posted, I didn't really read the thread that closely and I just assumed since that first post was a broken link, it might not be completely true (his transfer to WSU).

Allen is going to end up in the same class with a 6'4" top-100 skywalking SG with some PG skills. He's one year behind Brown.

I hope he's more interested in cutting down nets and getting sized for championship rings than getting 20+ minutes a game.

Okay, who was mean to the Redbirds? My account was suspended today and I don't even post over there anymore.

Mine too, strange since I don't think I have an account there.

edit: Perhaps it's the redbird site that has been suspended?

edit2: It's seems okay now, they were probably doing some work on the site.

That being said, I do think he is going to be another really good player at the 2/3 spots, and will compete for minutes, which makes all of them better.

Allen ran the point and defended the opposition's best player in high school, which along with his scoring helped him make the all-state first team by The Associated Press and second team by the Chicago Tribune.

Thanks. I hadn't seen this article. I was just going off the videos that I've seen of him. I don't think he was playing the point in any of them, although I could certainly be mistaken.

That aTm board is pretty sane, other than the fact that not a single person over there thought that a reason Allen chose WSU was that he wanted to actually win. "I'd rather start or 6th man at a low-tier mid major like Missouri State." It's so hard for me to grasp how others can't grasp that winning regardless of playing time can be more fun than all the minutes on a **** show.

                      Should be a nice addition.

It's also nice to see the Redturds will always be our b****.

He did everything in high school. It is strange that the same people who say that Conner was a "ball hog" in high school don't say tnis about Peyton. By the way, his style is very similar to Ron Baker. He is a team player who was very enthusiastic at encouraging his teammates when on the bench, who can shoot, pass, rebound, has a high BB IQ, and get others involved in the game. I don't think that he'll play point guard for the Shockers but his skills fit in nicely for our offense.

If WSU had successfully recruited Allen out of high school, the posters on here would have been thrilled. Just because it wasn't a possibility then, why should we be any less thrilled now? He's hardly been a bust, and his skills match up very nicely with what WSU wants to do.

Plus, Marshall wants him, and Marshall has proven to be a pretty good judge of talent.

For clarification. In Aggie speak, the term, "fish", is not an insult.

It denotes a member of the freshmen class.

Didn't have much of a feel on this one. The aTm board seems pretty telling. Basically everyone raved about his attitude and his support of his teammates. Good place from which to start, I'll defer to the coaching staff on the talent part.
