Yes, first year I was financially able to make a donation. apparently hit JUST enough to make it lol.

Good luck with that. We've had season tickets for several years and aren't at the lowest SASO tier. We've put in for an upgrade every year and haven't gotten one yet.

Interesting. I'm assuming he just meant out from behind the poles. Not upgrades farther down the stands.

        • I had a seat directly behind a pole in section 102 my first season, didn't have much of an impact for me, and was able to upgrade the next year but that was also 9n 2007 so

          • I just saw this on the Indiana State forums. Kind of insane the difference in ticket pricing. Obviously one provides a MUCH better product, but they really have no reason to not sell out at those prices no matter how bad their team is. I mean courtside for 335 + 400 donation is a steal.

Season ticket packages are on sale now for the 2015-16 Indiana State Basketball campaign, which features exciting home games inside Hulman Center plus top level competition against recent NCAA Tournament qualifiers.

2015-16 INDIANA STATE BASKETBALL TICKET PRICING
SEAT LOCATION TICKET PRICE DONATION REQUIRED (PER SEAT)
            Courtside $335 $400
            Floor I $271 $300
            Floor II $271 $250
            Priority I $231 $175
            Faculty/Staff (Priority I) $195 $175
            Priority $215 $125
            Faculty/Staff (Priority II) $165 $125
            Upper Concourse $65 NONE

Wow...$735 total for courtside seats...can't even imagine.

Edit: And $65 total for a season ticket anywhere? That's less than $5.00 per game. I'd pay that just to get to go to the WSU game.

That along with a couple of decent home non-conf games (Valpo and Wyoming).

I didn't even look hard enough to see that. And chances are if you have seats up top, you can probably move down as far as you want in most cases.

I think these numbers are a little misleading. Their donation is a per seat requirement. The Premium Chair back seats at Koch show a minimum SASO of $3,340, but that entitles you to up to 4 seats. So, the seats are $355+$835 SASO or $79/game. Still more than $335+$400 or $49 (assuming 15 home games for each), but not as much as first glance. Now, we all know $3,340 is the minimum and that realistically there are much higher donations being thrown out there to get some of the best seats, but so to is the $400 figure for ISU a minimum. I'm sure if you wanted courtside, you'd probably be paying more than the $400 minimum.

I think you're probably right, but still, $65.00 for a season ticket ANYWHERE in the Chuck? Not even close.

Certainly. Most of the other Valley Schools will have their diehards with money or corporate types who will buy up the good seats, but there's no way they sell out and certainly not sell out by season ticket holders, so you can find some good seats cheap at these venues. As a long time fan and alum, this is my only negative to our monster run. The attendance numbers are the same (since we sold out before), but seats are just so much harder and more expensive to come by. The great thing, is I have more options for WSU gear to fill my house with now than ever before.

And now you can see why the Indiana State message board community actually funded the team's new uniforms last year.

Edit: Hell, I'd buy the triple and take my daughter with me sometimes.

That $760 would not include the SASO mandatory donation, which would be another $390 for the seats he described in CKA. Cheapest season ticket in CKA after the most recent price hike is now essentially $600 per seat, for a spot in the last 7 rows, and most likely behind a pole, last row, or behind the baskets, if entering the WSU ticket market in the past 5 years or so. Also, a reasonable number of people in each respective SASO level are paying more than the minimum, in order to amass points for a better spot in that same SASO section.

The only season ticket holders paying SASO minimum of $3,340 for the 3 courtside sections on each side below the entry tunnels are long time WSU supporters (with lots of priority points). Anybody sitting down there that has come along during the Marshall tenure is most certainly paying more - sometimes in multiples of the minimum. Evidence of such is what can only be described as a dedicated "show me the money" page on goshockers.com basically alluding to this fact:

Page Not Found (404): It looks like you're lost... The page you are looking for no longer exists.

                            And there's this:

Ask Russell Wilkins, who runs ticket operations at Wichita State, why he didn't raise ticket prices after the Shockers made the Final Four last season and you'll get an answer you won't believe.

And winning has increased the frequency of some pleasant surprises. Like the fan who had never been on the program's radar and asked what it would cost to get four of the best season tickets in the house. He had them, $60,000 later.

You are correct. For the last PAIR of season tickets, on the last row with restricted view it was 1189 out of pocket. So 600 per ticket.
