I think what @fansince80s: meant is that the price increases will begin to cause faithful fans to let go of their seats. He and I have shared season tickets since 2003, and recently added a third person to the group. This latest increase has us thinking we may have to add a fourth or give them up.

What if you wanted to split the tickets with someone? For instance, if I knew someone that was a season ticket holder, but either for financial reasons, or due to only being able to attend a limited number of games, they were not going to continue to be season ticket holders in current situation. Would it be acceptable for me to split the SASO donation and the season ticket pricing with them and then split the tickets? They get to attend 1/2 the games, and I get to attend the other half? Is it illegal/frowned upon to do this? I know a lot of people do this with NFL tix, but with SASO involvement, not sure it would be quite the same.

I know in this circumstance, they would receive all of the SASO priority points.

The waiting list didn't start until last season. There were still some single game tickets available to the public in rows 33 and 34 prior to that.

If your goal is to get some game tickets and if you can reach an equitable agreement between the original SASO member/Season ticket holder, go for it.

Whether acceptable or frowned upon is immaterial, You are simply making a deal for the tickets - just like the ticket marketplace only for multiple games. I guess would just do it and not broadcast it to the world. Nor would I expect any of the SASO side benefits. I can't imagine any circumstance that would make it illegal other than possibly something to do with the tax deduction aspect of the donation part.

It is important to remember that you aren't getting any credit for your part of the SASO donation. If the original SASO member later decides they don't like the arrangement or is no longer capable of renewing, you don't have a fall-back position.

That's what @fansince80s: and I have been doing since 2003. Since he's in Wichita and I'm not, he picked out the seats, makes the payments and gets the points, which I'm fine with since he handles it every year.

i bought them in my personal name, but made the modification after i put a trust together in 2011. i'm age 35 also.. can work for any age.

in the same token, im sure the athletic department wouldnt care if your seats got renewed in your name after you pass away and/or cant go anymore as long as someone pays the bills

I have a similar arrangement with a friend. We have 4 tickets we split with everything in my name. I suppose the party with nothing in their name has to have trust in the informal agreement. As far as WSU knowing or caring - why would they as long as the bill is paid?

Does this mean you are at minimum in the Charter Guardian level as far as SASO is concerned? I've switched back and forth between several places, and I think that's the level I read that you have to be at in order to be eligible to purchase 4 tickets. Is that accurate, or am I just lost again? (Neither would surprise me)

Yes minimum level to purchase 4 tickets. I realize I'm vulnerable to reseating and/or successive ticket price hikes. But I'm ok when the day comes that I have to turn my tickets in when I can no longer afford them. That's the price of having a national powerhouse program and I'd rather face that scenario then reverting back to the dark ages of being able to afford season tickets to watch 8 win team.

I have four tickets but am not at Charter Guardian. I think it is based on where your seats are. If you have four seats, you pay double the SASO requirement for that particular section. That said, once you get to the Charter Guardian (and higher) levels, I would guess that the set-up is different.

I guess that would make sense. Otherwise, if someone wanted 4 seats, it seems like husband and wife could each purchase 2 after paying SASO for each.
