According to KWCH he can be on the bench during practice and games. But can not coach the players or or do skill instruction or recruit.

Doesn't sound like it is much different than what he was doing this past year except that he can be on the sidelines. Whether or not this is just a first step towards rejoining the staff as a "countable" coach remains to be seen but my guess it is as soon as one of the other assistants moves on to bigger things. I would expect someone to give 2G as shot as a head coach in the not too distant future. It will be good to see Coach Jans back on the sidelines.Comment

Well its official now that The Kunkel has announced it.
Now we can spend the rest of the year watching Sports Sunday on how this move was made so that Jans is CIW.

Seems like it will be difficult to be on the bench and not provide any 'on-floor coaching during games.'
Is it coaching if you are just yelling out the opposition's play to everyone in the building and the players happen to hear it?Comment
