If HCGM thinks its best for the program to bring back Jans, then im 100 percent on board. In Marshall we trust!Follow me on twitter: https://twitter.com/Shox_KCfan

If Marshall brings him back, does that indicate that Marshall is a bad man or does that indicate that Jans true character is known to be better than what these latest events would make it seem?
Which is the correct approach? Giving second chances or holding things over people's heads after they've apologized and been punished?

I don't think there is ANY doubt that Jans is the best fit for the job. Jans sets the bar for that. You won't find a better slam dunk hire for this position if you are talking about the coaching and system stuff.
That's a lot of why this is complicated.

It isn't an easy decision. I lean towards the rehire, but I wouldn't lose sleep if we go another direction.
Being am idiot at a bar is simple to fix, which is why I think it is reasonable to get a second chance.
The Jody stuff will be harder to overcome if there is truth to the allegations.

My opinion ultimately means little.
The question for me is this, Is Chris Jans the best candidate for this position at this time?
I don't think he is. Right now I hope we have more qualified candidates, If not WSU is in worse shape than I ever thought.
Next year, I would give him another look, but the last thing on his resume isn't good.
I think he needs some time to rehabilitate his marriage, and get his life back together.

I graduated with a degree in Sport Management and have taken a few Sport PR classes. In my opinion, WSU can't hire Jans back without fully addressing the issue. If they hire him there would have to be conditions. Something along the lines of he will be hired back at a lesser position than he had with reduced pay. He will be required to complete a sexual harassment and womans rights course before being allowed to coach again. Even if most of it is just for show, WSU will have to address it. Luckily Chris Jans is pretty insignificant in the college basketball world, so after the initial rehiring I doubt it will ever really be brought up again.
