I think that the amazing young man that is Tekele Cotton has taken my favorite player spot, narrowly edging out the great love I have for Paul Miller, "the champagne of college basketball," who truly was the man that brought us back to on-court prominence and relevance.
Oh, and that Drew Moffitt character in ye olde avatar remains my favorite all-sport Shocker of all time. Watching him hit bombs over 21st street was something else.Livin the dream

I was to young to remember the shockers of the early 80's and had to endure the late 80's and 90's going to nearly every game with my grandfather. I loved every second of it and X-man was my guy in the NBA. However my favorite Shocker player outside of the current All Americans on the team is Jamar Howard. The best basketball game I have ever watched in person was the Florida State game in the NIT. The community was so excited to finally be pulling out of the decade of failure and for the first time in my life there was a light at the end of the tunnel. I left that game thinking we had finally gotten over the hump even though we lost, the sleeping Giant had been awakened. The kampman, Howard and Burns trio need to be recognized at some point and brought back to campus for a halftime honor as without them and CMT, we would not be here today.

Gotta be X for me, those are the first games I remember going with my Dad, and I can still remember Kennedy calling those games. Got to also put in a plug for Claudius Johnson, hard worker on some bad teams and I always respected his effort. Had one class with him at the time, too, and he was always friendly, win or lose.
