I like Matt, but couldn't see that fitting well either. I've always seen him as more of a Turgeon kind of coach rather than a 3G kind of coach. I could even see him assisting Tad Boyle. I hope he does well, just don't see it being with 3G.

I have heard Chris jans is back. That greg lansing helped cover marshall with his interview saying he would hire Jans. Iowa boys, and Marshall put a feeler out awhile ago with sully. Now that it has died down they should be announcing soon. Greg heir said it's all but public

Coach Jans would be the final puzzle piece for the Shockers on road to the National Championship game. His scouting reports are spot on and I think he actually gives the coach some added confidence in decision making during the heat of the game.

I particularly agree with your last point. When the going gets rough and crucial, Coach Jans is most always right next to Coach Marshall.

Count me in the club that welcomes Coach Jans back to the bench with open arms. I agree with other posters regarding his scouting and in game adjustment suggestions to 3G.

What would his drop in pay be - maybe around $200K a year? It will be a couple years till he gets another HC opportunity.
