This thread is about Asst coaches, not HCGM's replacement.

Matty B. YES, this is a great time to bring him back to the fold IF there is a good assistant ready to be AHC. If not, how much does Coop make and is he happy?

EDIT: He is on a five year, $250,000 base contract. We can do this.

All I see them have committed are a bunch of SGs.

Maybe they have connections to so big (both size and ranking) recruits though.

From an article discussing Barnes. This would be unlikely, but it'd be a home run to land Lucas.

"There's been some talk about changes anyway since special assistant*Jai Lucas*may not want to spend a third season behind the bench. Lucas represents a key figure for the program in the Houston recruiting scene, where the Lucas name carries significant weight."

I like this option as well, and I think Heiar is ready for the AHC position.

Lots of good options. I'd be happy with either Grant or Geno getting a year or two to recover before heading off to their next top gigs.

Another guy with JUCO ties would be nice, especially if an AA JUCO big was part of a package deal ...

I'd love to see Matt Braeuer on the staff, although I think another two years or so recruiting Texas specifically would be good for him. He's definitely starting to get the point where him coming onto the staff is a realistic option, though. He's built up some significant experience in the last eight years, has deep Texas ties, and will absolutely be dedicated to WSU, which is a valuable sell in recruiting. Still inexperienced compared to the assistants Marshall brings in, though.
