IMO, the best way to develop youngsters is to give them as many minutes as they can handle. By running out 14 bodies Landry, Tyrone, Markis, and Rauno are all going to get screwed because all of them will barely touch the court.Livin the dream

Defense and rebounding will get a freshman on the floor, and the ones who do that best while avoiding turnovers and comprehending the offense will get the most time.

I recall a few years ago at this time of the year, ShockerNet (some - not all - but those "some" were very vocal) had Baker as the 13th guy on the bench. Over the years, Wessel has also been a much-speculated end of the bench player. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

After Shocker Madness last year, I advocated for Nurger to start at the 5. At the time it seemed perfectly rational. Now it seems rather silly. As many have stated, Freshman are such a wildcard that predicting what they will do is nigh impossible. The first game will be really telling to see if coach has it in mind to redshirt anyone.
