I'm just wondering how surprising it was to see him actually miss a shot. Was it something that was assumed pretty much every time he shot the ball, it was probably going in?
I very well could be completely wrong here since a few years have passed since the limited number of games I witnessed but I don't remember him as a SG. I remember the offense was run through him and he had the ball in his hands more often than not. He was the de facto PG. Please, someone correct me of you remember it differently.
Either way, he isn't just a shooter. I can't speak to his defense but he had all the necessary skills to be a complete offensive player.

I hope Frankamp has better things to do with his time than read message boards -- for example, I doubt that Larry Bird, Jackie Stiles, or Steph Curry ever stopped practicing their shot once they got really good -- but if he ever does stop by here, I suspect the skepticism of Aargh will do nothing but give him an incentive to show what he can do.
Of course, The Rug may have already given him all the incentive he'll ever need, but a little gas on the fire from Aargh the arsonist won't hurt.

There are reasons to be cautious on the Frankamp hype (height, maturity, chemistry), but there are more reasons to be optimistic. He works hard, he's skilled, he's athletic, and he's the best pure shooter I've ever seen. There is no reason to believe that this team will be anything but MUCH better with Conner on it.Livin the dream

Hopefully Zach and Evan play the 3 and not the 4, but that leaves little time for Markis. Hopefully Grady plays the 4 and not the 5. Odd men out in the rotation are probably Hamilton, Nurger, and either Taylor or Shamet.
Do you mean 5 minutes on either side of 30 minutes (25-35) or 2.5 on either side (27.5-32.5)?
In any case (barring multiple injuries), I do not think it's likely that FVV and Ron play over or under that second range of minutes. I'm hoping that this year's crop of potential PG/SGs (Frankamp, Taylor, Shamet) will keep those minutes below 30. I think Ron, more than Fred, was showing some wear and tear late last season.

Looking beyond just Frankamp, it's time to dream about next March. So I'll start with a best of all possible worlds Midwest Regional, topped by the following four teams:
#4 seed Louisville
#3 seed WSU
#2 seed Kansas (just because they're Kansas)
#1 seed Maryland
I'd take that combination any day and twice on Sunday, and after the first weekend, I figure the matchups will look like this: WSU against the winner of the 7-10 game (you don't really expect KU to want a rematch with WSU in the round of 16, do you?); and Maryland vs. Louisville, with Turgeon being saved from the regional final game he wants least by having the Cardinals dump him and Melo before he gets there. Then it's the Shocks and Louisville for a spot in the Final Four, and this time Fred, Ron, and the guys finish the job.
