Obviously it's true. However, far from a no brainer to consider bringing Coach Jans back into the fold at this point.

        • On a per 40 minute basis (for comparison), here are the stats for the 2014-2015 30-5 season:

Agree completely. In the last 5 games, he attempted 4,1,8,4 and 5 FGs. Prior to that, he had taken 3 three times and 6 against Loyola Marymount when he scored 10 points. I think he maybe saw CHend not getting much time by taking shots too quickly and bided his time until the post season.

I think that he will shoot more as he grows in confidence. He only takes jump shots right now (or shoots layups on the break). As he grows in confidence, he'll attack the rim more and use his athleticism and jumping ability. Right now, he either shoots a jumper or he passes it around the perimeter. As he attacks the rim, he'll either shoot dunks, layups, shorter jumpers, or he'll pass to an open shooter on the perimeter. He needs to use his athleticism to create for others to grow.

Actually in the last few games, he made a couple of in-the-lane floaters, as I recall. But I agree it is a matter of confidence and determining to expand his role.

                  • I think Brown has much more potential than Morris, and Im a big Morris fan.

                      CHECK.

My big question now is: Who does WSU need to win it all next year? I could easily say that the most likely starting lineup will be FVV, Baker, Wessel, Brown and Morris, but I don't think that's a title lineup. Who does this team really need if it's going to win a title? Do we even have those pieces? I still think we need a center. If we get one somehow, we really can win it all.

I know some people think I'm out there for (among eat other things) saying I think McDuffie can make the starting lineup.

Really, it all depends on if/when WSU brings in another big and who it is.

The lone missing piece truly is just a legit, productive center.

With what we have coming in (Frankamp, McDuffie, Shamet, and Hamilton), plus what we have, at position #1-4 we essentially give up nothing to anyone.

I can see how the order I listed those names in could lead you to think I have him at the 4. I don't think Brown is a 4. I do think those 5 players are probably the starting lineup based on how this season went (not at all based on any knowledge of newcomers. They could easily make some changes to the lineup if they are good). I'm really just trying to make the point that I don't think those names are a title lineup...not who will be playing which position.

                              • SM had knee surgery today. Hopefully just a minor scope to clean up some loose fragments. Probably more news in the next couple days.
