    • I wonder if UK will have to cut ties with Andrew Harrison, remove whatever fraternity he was part of from the university and make a bunch of people talk about the ongoing issue of racism after this:

Get NCAA College Football news, scores, stats, poll rankings & more for your favorite college teams and players -- plus watch highlights and live games! All on FoxSports.com.

Or is getting into huge trouble only limited to drunk white kids getting filmed in a bus? Cause this was on ESPN...and it was coming from a black guy about a white guy...

Anyone think he'll get in trouble at all? I'm sure a Twitter apology is more than enough :)

I am glad that WSU is represented by young men of class and character.
        Go Shocks!

Congrats to you and UK for a great season. UK was 38-1, a tremendous effort. You were 1-?? in predicting the loss, but you have next season to improve..

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

I get what you're saying, but Harrison's comments and the SAE chant are two very different things. One was an "in the moment" offense which basically meant "screw that guy" (a sentiment which many on here have expressed on and off this board), and the other was a chant that had gone on for years and talked about violence directed towards an entire race. Not remotely the same thing.

Definitely. I can't imagine one of our players doing something like this. It's really nice to be able to root for guys who are as good off the court as they are on the court.

No the double standard in the US will prevail.....If Kominsky (sp) had said that, Sharpton and Jessie would be on every morning news show and no NBA team would touch him. Andy has already made a token apology and all will be forgiven and forgotten.

Im just posting the news and cracking a joke for the most part because I know you are right. It is a hilarious double standard. Now I've got a guy saying that it's okay for an angry black kid to call a white kid a f-ing N- because he was upset. The fact that he was emotional makes it okay. It never enters the discussion that you just shouldn't do it at all for some reason. I don't even care. I'm not in the least offended by it. I actually agree with Adam I suppose. I just think it's such a classic display.

                  • I guess I shouldn't be in disbelief, but I still am. I am embarrassed for the entire Harrison family. I would be mortified for my son (don't give me the gravity of the loss/situation so soon after the loss) to witness what he did. This entitlement we see with extraordinarily talented youth (sports, music, academics, etc...). How are they wired that they think on a whim they can behave in such a manner. As a nation our expectations of behavior, poise and respect must be so low to accept this behavior. He apparently issued an apology to Frank, but what about an apology to the rest of the world for demonstrating such an embarrassing moment. What will be his punishment? A hundred million dollar NBA contract probably. He is guaranteed not to return to college. NBA teams won't even blink at this when draft day arrives. Congrats Mr.Harrison. Our misguided society is just about to reward you for your preparation.

Exacty, as a competitive athlete the statement doesn't bother me, what bothers me is what would have happened to FK had he made the same statement in the exact same context......which was one of frustration from losing

Today on sports report one of the guys said Kentucky would not have gone undefeated in conference play had they been in the B1G or ACC.

I turned the broadcast off after the coaches shook hands. How soon after the game did this interview take place? According to my ESPN alerts to my iPhone, those indicated the game was complete at 10:16 and that the UK players were addressing the media live on ESPN at 10:38. That's a lot of time to hold the "heat of the moment".

There is plenty of discussion about the weak SEC on Uk's board...they get it.

The statement doesn't bother you, because it was said by a competitive athlete, in front of the whole world to hear? Wow!!!
