Has anyone said they will trust coach Marshall to do what is best for the team yet?

      Always.

That being said, I have a feeling we're not done recruiting for next season.

This thread is only one hour old...there's still time!

Also, I'd like to add the following pre-emptive comments:

        "This season's not over yet."

"Looks like the housekeepers need something to do."

I went with Brown over Kelly because I think Brown plays more "under control". Kelly is a great rebounder and hugely athletic, but he's been a bit of a loose cannon and hasn't learned in a year how to use his natural abilities effectively in a D1 basketball game.

I think Brown will still be ahead of Kelly in November. One day things will go "click" for Kelly. When that happens, look our world!

Of the 3 Shocker TO's against UNI, Kelly had 2. IIRC, both were passes to Kelly under the basket that should have resulted in 4 points. Unfortunately, it's things like that that have limited his playing time, even though he's an outstanding rebounder.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

IMO, HCGM will make a hard push at a few forward/centers that can make an instant impact, but will be VERY selective in his offers.

                Agreed.

I wouldn't be surprised if they bring in another JUCO big.

Shaq, Kelly, Brown, Henderson, Holland, with Nurger off the bench: Where do you think this team finishes this year? I would say .500 in conference and better at the end of the year than the beginning. We have a lot more coming back next year than we did this year. As far as the scholarship situation goes, I know that HCGM can count, but I think he's using quantum physics and I'm stuck on fingers and toes.

This would not surprise me in the least. I can easily expand my speculated trfr's from 1 to 2. It's not that difficult. It's unlikely I'd be correct, but some posters' favorite "dark horse" player is likely to be playing in another city next year.

I think that's a Thursday night team unless Baker, VanVleet, Cotton, and Carter are off the bench.

I'm more excited about Kelly than Brown, but I understand the current criticisms. He does however appear to be just a skotch away from putting it all together... and then damn.

Using Shaq as a 5 presents similar issues to DC working down there this year, but SM's defense is significantly more impressive. As others have said (and is obvious), we really need either Bush W, Nurger, or Glass to have an on-court epiphany so we have a true 5. At this point Nurger looks like the most likely candidate to be catching a Greyhound out of Doo Dah. He has shown almost no utility at the 5, and he is way down the pecking order next year at the 4.

Who knows about the freshman. They'll probably just look and play like freshmen. They are a group to get excited about in the future, just not in Y1.

What's exciting about Brown is that he is an athlete.

Someone mentioned this yesterday, but I could see him becoming a Cotton-esque type of player.

When MM arrives here from Jersey, he may be one of the most talented players for many moons. I think Kerry will be his friend and get him stronger. Even Fred was a sub as a Frosh but he was very key at the end of the Season when it counted the most. Once MM gets our System down (that does take time), he could be a key sub and beat some returning players out. I am intrigued with Taylor. While he is not rated in the top 100, I have to wonder if he should be in that group. I think his style may blend in here on both sides of the court and he will learn from the best.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

When I read this I was like, what about Cotton?

I can't believe his 4 years of eligibility are almost up.

His senior year is not even over and I am already missing him.....
